Anyone familiar with Free Pro Tools 5.0. I have the record button enabled on a track but it does not pick up (the properly functioning mic and cable) Mic. Any Ideas?

You have the record function on the track enabled, good. But do you have the record button enabled on the transpose window? That is the record button right next to the play, fastforward, rewind buttons.
