Pro Tools Sync

Hey Everyone,

I've been doing some work in w/ Pro Tools (through a 192 and an AD8000), A DA-98, (2) DA-38s, and a Euphonix CS3000 console lately, and I've been trying to get all of the above synced up w/ timecode and MMC. Right now, I've got the console chasing the Timecode from the tapes, so I can automate 24 tracks, and Pro Tools is synced via word clock. My question is, how to I get Pro Tools to follow the timecode and MMC so that it, too, will play back in sync with the tapes? We have MIDI in to it through a MOTU Midi Timepiece.

Any thoughts?

i'm in no way an expert in all this, but here's an idea.
run smpte out of the tape machines into the MOTU in...and SMPTE out into the console. Word 256x and MIDI into your 192.
then you gotta set the front panel correctly...read the manual on what might be a good setting.
