I use both Logic and Pro Tools and I like them both. I have to say, analog is great when done properly, it sounds good, and if you tell someone you did your album or whatever on 2" tape they're impressed, but if you get good at it, Pro Tools can sound damn close to analog.

Logic I only use for Midi and I must say, it's amazing with what it can do, and what you can do with it to manipulate the data. Cool stuff.

But the thread popped up when I did my habitual "New Posts" routine. Has for a couple days.

Oh, well. Wouldn't be the first time the BBS software went glitchy.

nah, it's because there is a poll.
people who search "logic" or "pro tools" probably came across it and voted on the poll...so it gets put at the top of the Computer Recording section.

Because they have the balls to charge for major software updates. Can you believe they actually charged me almost $40 to ship a PTLE 6.4 CD to me for my bought-used 001 system?

Stop bitching, I'll say what's been said a million times. You can't expect a company to keep giving you bigger and better because you bought one time. If I buy a ford escort they aren't going to upgrade me to a mustang, hell they wouldn't even upgrade to a zx2 so shut up. You're crying about 40 bucks? Go talk to Waves and see what you think about their WUP fee.

I'm a Logic man personally because I can use whatever hardware I want, and also because Logic comes with so many plug ins and instruments. Pro Tools is very nice however, and besides the high cost, I don't really see any problems with it.
