Hi,
I am thinking about getting an M-box to do my recording but is Pro Tools LE any good for midi, virtual instruments stuff like that or can it only really be used for Midi?Should i get Reason or something to do my midi work and wire it through LE? does reason sound auhentic? Also what case for my pc does anyone recommend.
Thanks
Jamie

Most of the name brand stuff is supported in RTAS format. Native Instruments, etc. And you can run all the VST instruments in Pro Tools using the fxpansion VST-to-RTAS adapter.

Reason sound authentic? Depends what you mean by authentic. Since it emulates a bunch of electronic instruments, it sounds "authentically electronic."

Pro Tools LE comes with Reason Adapted too. And yes pro tools works with midi, audio, virutal instruments, etc. Of course, PT's strong suit is audio and not midi...so if you know you will only be working with MIDI and hardly doing any audio editing, I'd recommend getting a program like Logic or Digital Performer
