Pro Tools LE (Digi 001) verus Cubase XS

This sight has been great at resolving questions. Based off of prior responses and other thread please give respond to the following and provide commentary. Now that with downloads both can run Windows XP,

Do I buy:

1. Digi 001 with Pro Tool LE (For XP)

or

2. Cubase SX


If you choose Cubase SX which sound card should I choose?

1. Echo Layla

or

2. Delta 1010

SX and either sound card will offer more power than the digi 001.. but either way you go.. you'll have great quality...
what type of music?

My music is lyrically centric (if such a word exists). Instrumentally, it is predomiantly built around acoustic guitars with electric guitars serving less dominant roles. No gratuitous leads. I am not a big keyboard fan, but love the sound of a Hammond organ. I am by no means a big techno fan, but I plan on experimenting heavily with samples and earthy sounding ambiance noises.
