It came in on Christmas eve, great timing.
Now what? I would think removing SBLive card would make sense. Are there any benefits to keep it in? It is a multi boot system, I could use the SBLive on a drive/partition that is not dedicated to recording then disable it on the recording partition? Does this save some hrs. on the new card or just create the potential for conflicts?
Any ideas?

I don't think there is really a reason to keep the SB in your computer. It will probably cause more harm then good, even though Aardvark just came out with new drivers which they say will make the SB card work with the direct pro sound cards.

I own the dp2496, and I had problems with it coexisting with my SB card. To resolve that problem, I disabled the SB in the device manager, as another person from this forum suggested. Voila, no problems. After I installed the new drivers, everything worked more smoothly, although the SB and dp2496 are still a bit buggy. The dp2496 doesn't "sleep" any more as it did before with the SB enabled, but sometimes the card signals don't register in Sonar. I just had to close and reopen the program. I still find it less problematic to disable the SB, though. Other than that, I don't see why both cards cannot be installed. Hope this helps.

yo yo yo, I havn't heard about the new driver that let's the q-10 co-exist with the Cr*pblaster, but I can say that all my problems, and many others problems, were solved by disableing that card.

Have fun making music!

It's out.
Thanks , I tried it and had problems right off the bat.
Maybe someone can help me with the " I own no monitors " problem. "K" I did down load the 7.04 drivers I guess they are the new ones no luck.
