Primacoustic London Kit 12

It's time to get that room treated. First of all, I know it would be cheaper to build acoustic panels myself. Nevertheless I've decided to buy some panels instead.

At this point I'm not going to need very good treatment below 50Hz as my monitors (Sonodyne SM100AK) do not carry a lot below that area.

I've been considering this:

Primacoustic Acoustic Solutions

Now it may or may not be overpriced, but would it work reasonably well for mid and high frequencies? I figure I will need much better (i.e. thicker) bass traps at a later point, especially if I ever decide to pick up a sub. But would it be a good start?

Also, is there any reason I can't just use Velcro to attach them to the walls? I'm renting this place so I would prefer not to mess up the walls with permanent screwing (imagine that!).

EDIT: Oh, and I've heard GIK panels would be preferable, but there aren't many choices over here and I imagine shipping, taxes and all that would be crazy expensive. It's basically the London kit or a bunch of foam products.
