previewing send effect in edit view?

say im running a couple of sends on a track, like , reverb and chorus. now when i go to edit the track in waveform by itself , i can not hear the send effects. what if i want to add an extra effect in the edit view to the chorus part only, is there a way to preview the waveform with the send effects still on them so i can adjust how much of something else i want to add on the chorus part?
did i write this confusing?
