Hello everybody

I recently got a Firepod and have had a little bit of trouble using it right off the bat. I have my Firepod plugged into my 12" G4 Powerbook. When I play a mic or instrument into the Firepod, I get sound from both the left and right monitors, but when I play songs on iTunes, I only get sound from the left monitor. Why is this? I also happen to be a little new with Macs for your information. I feel that this should be really easy to fix, but I don't know what to do. Anybody have a suggestion?

You may need to go into whatever DAW software setup you have and make sure you select the option to release asio driver. I think that's what its called.

Hmmm...

There may be a few things going on...

First, one good thing to know is if you go to your "Applications" folder open the "Utilities" folder INSIDE the applications folder... There should be a program called: "Audio MIDI Setup"... Opening this will allow you to view the "connections" of your interface into the computer (This is kind of like the gate into the comptuer)...

Another thing to look at is if the FIREPOD has it's own little "interface" program... I know my M-Audio FW410 does - and when I'm not using Logic, the computer defaults to that little program... There may be something like this for the FIREPOD as well...

It could be your "pan" setting may just be one way or the other on a channel that you can't even see in these programs...

Hope this helps...

Figured out the problem. My Mac's Audio Drivers were too old. Simple update got it working just right.

Thank you for your help though :)
