hi
i'm looking for a preamp to record blues vocals and guitars
i'm looking for some warm and 'hot' stuff ... love the vocals sound in the 60's or soul stuff (stax, atlantic, ...)
any good advices ???
thanx !!

You do realize that to get the sounds of those classic rooms you mention, the price is going to be a steep one. We're talking a well designed room, hand-built electronics, classic Neumann mics......

On the other hand, If you want to learn about how they recorded the tracks at those places, and want to apply these techniques to your recordings, you need to spend a lot of time in research. The information is available.

Hi! I'm a newbe also; In doing my research on this and other forums I bought a saffire le interface. It has two preamps plus enough in/outs to get me started. I like that 60's stuff as well, I was listening when it was new. Hope this helps.
