Ok, don't yell at me for posting another preamp question, but I just gotta ask (since I just don't know). Here's my humble recording set up so far: 1) Tascam DP 02, 2) Rode NTK mic along with some Audix UEM81's and some assorted dynamic mics by Shure and Audio Technica, 3) a pair of Rokit 6 powered monitors. I know the preamp in the DP 02 is lacking, but how far should I go in getting a good mic preamp to go with a DP 02? I record mostly bluegrass music. I was thinking maybe getting the best preamp I could afford, and then at least I would still have it whenever I upgrade from the DP 02. Is buying a high end preamp to go with a DP 02 kind of like dressing up in a tuxedo to go eat at Jack in the Box?
