Preamp or Mixer with preamps

How much better of a recording will i get if I use a stand alone preamp along with my mixer that has a built in preamp? Sounething like the M-Audio DMP3 2-Channel Mic Pre/Direct Box?

I have a Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer that has built in preamps. So would a seperate, stand alone preamp make a big difference in the overall recording?

This is all just opinion, but I suspect you will notice a difference. I own the MX802 (which has different pres than the UB series, I think) and found the pres to be noisy (lots of hiss at high gain) and rather dull sounding. The DMP3 is damn quiet and has a much better sound, imo. However, preamps are just one part of the overall signal chain. The quality of your source, room, and microphones will probably make more impact than just the preamp.
