Preamp Hook Up!!!(help Me Plz)

I need someone to tell me WHAT CABLE(S) TO GET to simply hook up my preamp to my computer with best sound..please post a picture up of the cable(s) and maybe where to get the cable(s) if you can...THNX

preamp = behringer vx2000

cpu soundcard = Creative

software = i use Cubase SX to record

i appreciate all your help...
 
You're sound card *probably* uses an 1/8" TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve) stereo (two-track) input.

If the preamp uses 1/4" outputs, you need a cable that has a single 1/8" TRS to dual 1/4" TS (Tip, Sleeve). One 1/4" will go to the tip (channel one) of the 1/8" and the other to the ring (channel two), and they share a common (sleeve).

If you go to Guitar Center or somewhere similar, tell them you need an 1/8" to 1/4" insert cable.

oh and is it supposed to be a balanced to unbalanced?...

is the Hosa CMS-100 what your talking about?
