hello everyone. im having issues getting my stuff recorded. right now i have a basic setup that consists of
Computer:
AMD 64 3200+, 1 gig of ram, 160gig hd, cubase w/ various vst's n stuff, audiophile 2496 and a delta 1010lt
Hardward:
behringer ub2442, KRK RP8, radium 49, pod xt, dr-550mkII, and a crate gfx-212t amp.
Mics+Instruments:
sm57, sm58, mxl 990, ibanez rg570 (guitar), ibanez sr305dx (bass), and a yamaha ypp-55 (digital piano)
with my equipment, ive been attempting to record jazz songs. pretty much my main issues are when im listening to the prerecording outta headphones or my monitors, it sounds 10X better than the quality of the playback version. and also the playback version is much quieter than the pre-recorded listening. i never used to have this problem till i got this new mixer. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys
EDIT---
i figured out the sound level problem, but its still worse quality. now that im starting to understand this more... is it just the converters on my soundcard? r they really that bad? cuz i can hear a definate quality decrease
