Hey all.FirstI'd like to thank Pete{Muzeman} for puting this up for me!He was very helpful..There are 6 songs up and anyone of them would be fine..They are in the alternitive "pop' vein.
I'd like some comments on arrangements and things like that..The sound quality is demo.But tear me a new one if you must on the sound quality..LOL..Thanks for your time I apreciate it

Hey F..I didn't sing the tune..what didn't you like about the voice.Was it too clean?Too high..I'd like to hear all opinons!
I'm in production now for the CD

Sorry Henri, I was just getting back to the BBS to apologise for my harshness, it wasn't meant that way. And most of all; it's not because of the recording quality; it's fantastic, but his voice didn't seem to reach some higher notes very well in the first song and is very varying in strenght in the second. Again that's not a recording issue, it's obvious his 'fault'.
 
hey and BTW; i didn't SAY you sang it badly :D

btw2; there's in the very end (after the song stopped) of the second song a little 'tick' or something. Might want to remove it if this is the master already.
 
No prob.F..I appreciate your comments!I haven't got to vox yet so your comments are important..this is a demo so no mastering..Im doing the real recording now.I did this except for drums on 2 fostex dtm8's..so its a little to "small" for release
Anyways thanks man these comments are valuable to me as I've been too close to the production..

Mean

The vocal sounds strong and clear.

The mix and song are very nice. I get a very melancholy new wave turned modern alternative feel from this.

I do not like the underwatery effect. The production idea is fine just that particular effect is really not adding anything to the mix here.

Why am I so fucking mean?

I know how you feel...wait, no I don't.;)
 
Thanks Jake,I don't like the "effect" either!Singer's idea..We also did a little to cover a botched "F" sound on the other song{Clear}..I really dont like that much crap on vox myself..Now Im gonna have to convice him to get rid of the cruches.LOL
Orlando Fl. traffic will make you "Fuckin' mean"...well that and people pissin' in your pool:D

I listened to Shotgun man....
must be the same vox effect....

I liked the tune man...sort of Floydish....ya know?
Lyrics are above average for sure....good stuff..

Thanks Joe!For lyrics its my favorite one..Some of the other songs may get a nip and a tuck lyricly.. but this ones gonna stay the same lyricly..Thanks for lookin bud

I finally got a chance to listen to these!:D

For demo recordings they sound very good.
Great playing and a nice balance of instruments.

The only one that didn't do it for me was Shotgun.
Sounds kind of midish.
Not that midi's necessarily a bad thing,just in comparison to the rest.

A well wrtten tune,just seems the productions lacking a little.
I think it's no guitars,and the drum sound,keyboard?

A nice acoustic strumming would be nice.
This has different drums from the rest?
JMHOP!:)

A bunch of finely written tunes,looking foward to the finished productions.

Hey Pete,The song was written on a Casio {cheapy}Drums are the drums from the Keyboard except for the small hand drums{real}{I was lookin for the Machine type O thing}All the drums on the rest of the mat.are real...Basicly I wrote the tune on the board..You are right.. their is strummed guitars{acoustic}but its buried in the mix..I've got to track them again hopefuly better{I used the wrong mic and bad placement..LOL}!Also the DI of the Synths are those little tube MP's so the mud did gather quite a bit!I'm gonna prob retrack the whole song..This song is prob gonna be a hidden track so Im gonna try and keep it very diff from the others..Im a guitarist by trade so doing these keyboard songs are really fun!I'm gonna be finishing the lead track "Clear"..soon as its done Ill send you a copy..Talk soon

Listened to "clear"...it's good..I just felt it could be more stereoish sort of thing, sounds too mono to me....everything's in the middle....otherwise, good work
 
Sen, Hummmm.. monoish...Ya know even though all the rhy elect/acoust.guits are stereo{played twice}..I think you have a valid point..The instr. do just lie there!There isn't any movement!Thanks man.Any Ideas??..Im surprised no one mentioned the phasey hat/snare on the song "Clear"...It just bugs the shit outta me .LOL..
