Pre-Mastering questio. Please Help

Should "fade-outs" at end of tracks be done before or during final mastering. A couple of my tracks work better if th song is faded out at the end.

Fades are usually done at mastering... if the ME changes levels or balances, a fade applied during mixing may no longer be appropriate....

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that fadeouts decrease the RMS level of the mix! WE'LL HAVE NONE OF THAT HERE! :mad:

Yes, and I happened to bring up another point of view in that thread, that I prefer to do the fades myself at the mix stage.
