pre amp question

Hey.
Are you supposed to run each mic on the kit though a pre amp?
if so, what pre's would you suggest for the kick mic, snare mic,
over heads, and toms. sorry if this is a dumb ???? lol.

when i record drums i usually have preamps for the the over heads ART tps and for the bassdrum i use a presonus tubepre
using preamps for the toms and snare is not really needed but its up to u and what sound u want out of your drums

I've heard that some like Focusrite red series on the kick giving it that warm nevish sound. Maybe grace 101 on overheads for a good clear sound.
