The word from Johnson
All right guys, I emailed them and they responded. Below is my original email and their response (their response assumes knowledge of the original email, so that's why I'm including it):
Original email:
Quick question regarding J-station input allowances. I want to
send my acoustic guitar signal through the j-station to add some
cool effects. I mike my acoustic and run this signal to my
Audiobuddy pre-amp (which has XLR inputs), and I want to send
the output signal from the pre-amp to the j-station "guitar" input.
Will a pre-amplified signal cause damage to the J-station? I am a
little leery of damaging the j-station, so I'd like to hear what the
company has to say.
Johnson reply:
The set up you describe will not damage
the JStation. Just watch
the Gain knob so you don't overload the front end of the JStation.
That's all they said, which is enough. I'm going to keep the gain down and use this method.
