Pre Amp Help

OK i got pro tools 6.1 and couple condenser mics and a ub802 beringer board... And windows xp and Audio media III card now ub 802 is for anolog inputs now i was told i need a pre amp? I looked at M-audio duo becuse i need spdif to conect to Audio media III card. I read the M-auido duo wont run right on xp so what are some other pre amps that i could use please i need some help asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Doesn't that card have analog ins and outs? If so you can start off with the preamps in your mixer. You just have to get the right cables to go from the output of your mixer to the analog ins on the card.

I have mixer hooked up and i get 2 channels now i need 2 more i have spdif

inputs and i need a pre amp to run them right and i need to know what kind
of pre amp for windows xp pro

dont know just need help so i can buy quick thanks!!!!

need the spdif though remeber
 
How about we keep this all on one thread- you started the same questions in newbies, so how bout we go there with answers.............
