Powerful enough?

I'm planning on buying my first Mac and because of budget reasons I'm looking at getting a refurbished iMac 21.5 3.6 ghz with 4 gig ram and I believe it can be upgraded to 16 gig ram and if so that's what I plan to do. So can a iMac 21.5 duo i3 3.6 ghz with 16 gig ram or at the least 8gig ram handle logic studio? Please help?!

Looking at the price of Logic Studio I'm thinking it might be better to have Windows for Mac installed and use one of the umpteen DAW's designed for Windows. Or you could just stick with Garage Band that comes on the Mac.
