I'm lusting after one of these packages but I still can't decide which. I have read reviews where people seem to state that the powercore reverbs are better whereas the uad1 compressors are better.
My questions is with regard to DSP power. I can't help but noticing that both these systems are a few years old, and computers are getting faster.
How many plug-ins do people find they can run? (Granted it depends on what type of plug-in you use). Is the power of the respective systems similar? Do you end up with loads of DSP power--more than you are likely to need, or is it more like a few plug-ins that help unload the processor a bit?
Also, has anyone heard if either company plans to release a newer model, with more processing power?
