powerbook vs macbook

I am currently pruducing music on a powerbook 1.5Ghz 1GB Ram. Using Live and Protools.

Is it worth updating to the new macbook 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo (just for musical pourposes).

Iam having some Cpu capability problems right now handeling proyects.

Do I just need more RAM?

I have a Powerbook 1.5ghz with 1.5gb RAM. I recently upgraded from 512mb of RAM. Honestly, there wasn't that big of a difference. I was using Logic Express and I only got a couple extra tracks (from 20 to 22 or so). The system still gets overloaded.

Well ableton has already anounced a native mac-on-intel version so your good in that department
