Power Amp??

I'am trying to figure out what is the standard setup of a power amp is supposed to be because you got your 16ch mixer but your front of houses are 1200watt each but how do you connect to power amp to the speakers and how do you get the line outs from the mixer to the front of house speakers when the power amps have taken up the inputs in the speakers?
Please reply as I am running around in circles.

Yeah, with the setup you describe, it would go something like:
Mixer Main L&R Output -> Power Amp Channels 1 & 2 Input -> Power Amp Channels 1 & 2 Output -> L & R Speaker Inputs.

Assuming you have a 2-channel power amp.
Also depending on what type of speakers you have (and if you are using subs) you may want to incorporate a crossover network.
