I`ve always used a Amp head & yesterday I bought my first power amp (the QSC - GX3). I have a 8 ohm cab with 4 12"s in it. Right now im running A line 6 X3 live through it. I`m getting a very weak amount of volume out of it. I have master output all the way up on the X3 Live & the tone volume up to just before clipping. I have the output set to poweramp stack & am not sure what im doing wrong. The GX3 says it will give me 300 watts @ 8 ohm (shouldn`t that be enough volume to power my cab & then some?). I`m running my 1/4 inch out from the X3 Live to the input of the GX3 then the Quarter inch outs to my speaker cab. The volume is about as loud as my tiny peavy practice amp. i would appreciate any help you can give me....thanks
