Well this is an option that looks pretty good in the kind of range I'm looking for:
Soundcraft mixer (mostly likely Spirit console) --->
LynxTwo C soundcard ---> Computer (With Cakewalk Pro Audio)

I have a spirit mixer meself, and those pres are quite decent given the price. Lynx makes great stuff as far as I know - good choice. Cakewalk...a matter of personal taste, ya know?
