I am a somewhat new CEP User and I am almost finished with a small project. Anyway, I was wondering if maybe some people that really know what they are doing would post some of their finished projects so that I can have something to compare my music to. Anyway, I will post my song as soon as I get it finished. I will really appreciate anyone who will help me out.

Thanks

Doobie.. You have a very clean and nice accoustic sound. Maybe it lacks some body, but that might be my headphones. I think your vocals definitely lacks something. Probably in the mids cause they lack definition and presence. (I'll skip all kissing up parts because I'm drunk :D :D )

Camn.. Pretty raw sound, No signs whatsoever of overuse of compression or reverb.... I love the percussion in 'left over right', well.. it IS a FATT instrumental. (getting some 'file not found' on your page..
'take a walk'.. this one has too much low end somewhere.. I hear mp3 artifacts.... Guitar is very dry compared to vocals... Very nice songs listening to... I wish they felt a bit more 'open'... almost like drums and bass could use some separation and a little more 'air'..
'After all' OK.. this is really like between the songs from the first Mr. Bungle.... Just before 'dead goon'... Best sound this far in my headphones.. better balance overall.. just lacks some 'edge'..

Well.. I really enjoyed listening through your mp3s. Dobro's got a very clean sound, and camn's got a really good thing going with his band.
Now I'm off putting this drunk body to sleep. :)

we did all that in early 2000! wow. We're recording again this March... only Im tracking the drums somewhere ELSE, with way better isolation and a nice room, and greater mics, and the like. This next record is gonna RULE!!

xoxo

Meshuggah, tell you what - that's about the best feedback I've ever received about the mp3s I put up on the net. Thanks.

The tracks were dry - I EQ'ed them but that was it. Maybe that's why they lack body. John Sayers mixed and mastered one track off that album, and it was *loaded* with effect.

On the album I'm doing now, I'm putting reverb on some things.

Camn: "This next record is gonna RULE!!" That's how I feel about my next one as well. Do you think it's a syndrome? But I gotta tell ya, if the last time you put something up on the web was two years ago, you hafta pick up the pace. Get the product out there toute de suite.

That's French. :)
