Hi,

Although I spent several years as a session player, I'm now involved with recording from the other side of the glass.

I'm currently mixing/mastering (yes, I've read of the pitfalls when mastering the same tracks I mix) a 12-song CD for a small acoustic bluegrass/folk group.

What I want to know is, is it acceptable to post a link to an mp3 (for critique) here on the mixing/mastering forum or should I do that on the mp3 forum.

I'm just concerned that many of you folks might not see it there and I'm really wanting some feedback on my mastering techniques.

Thanks,

Earl

I think if your looking for Mastering feedback that this may be a good place. Mostly from what I have seen, the best way to post in here is to specify a certain problem that you may be having and ask people to listen and help.

I would wait to see what the other guys say first though.

It doesn't bother me (but I'm not the moderator of this site). I think you want the MP3 Mixing Clinic section for this though.

People usually go to the MP3 clinic when they are in the mood to download stuff.
