Optimus Prime
I recorded them on my computer (which is not on the internet) and put them on c.d. Then I put the c.d. in the laptop (which is on the internet) and real player, and window's media player say they can't play them.

What can I do? I suck with computer stuff by the way.

When you put them on cd, are they meant to play as a cd, or are they data files? Both WMP and RP should play virtually any file. Does teh cd play on the other computer?

Did you amke sure they're.wavs and that you actually wrote them to the CD? On my system it's not enough to drag and drop onto the balnk disk in My Computer....I have to press 'Write These Files To Disc'.

I did press "write these files to disc."

are they 24 bit? wmp player won't play 24 bit audio files (but there's a work around). i'm not sure if real player will play 24 bit stuff.

if it's the 24 bit thing, here's the work around.

get this (a plugin for wmp): http://www.chrisnet.net/msdn/AudioTypeConvert.zip

create a folder at C: named 'my filters' and unzip the file to that folder.

in windows, start, run box, paste this line and hit enter:

regsvr32 "c:\my filters\AudioTypeConvert.ax"

If it's cda, you will need to convert the files in order to post them, but I still think WMP should have played teh cd for you.
