Wasn't there a thread started similar to this? I can't remember off the top of my head but I think there was. Anyway here goes.

Custom built PC;
80 gig HD
M-Audio Delta 66
Behringer 4 channel mixer
Behringer Ultragain100 pre amp
Behringer compressor
a Brand-X mic (thinking about going Shure)
Roland XP-10
M-Audio Oxygen 8
Cubase SX 2 (with a bunch of plugins)
Reason 3 (with lots of refills for Reason)
(plus some other stuff)

gotta love that oxygen ...sold mine though :(

I'd sleep with it if I didn't think it'd break lol. I'm debating on going triton rack instead of extreme, since I don't see why I should sell off my boards just for a triton and the rack has most of the sounds of the triton anyway (and it's half the price so I can use the other half for the MPC which I'm definitely getting in a couple of months.

yikes looks like you are a behringer fan!

I wouldn't say fan, but hey if the stuff works then it works. The compressor does a good job, the mixer does what it's supposed to (I don't use the effects in it although I've heard they suck, I use plugins for that), and the pre-amp boosts my sound raw so that I can tweak it the way I want to later.

Reason 3.0 (with dl'ed refills)
Korg microKONTROL
Korg D1600
2 AKG c 2000 b's with pop filter

My setup...need sync advise

I've been on this forum for a while but I'm just beginning to send replies, help out a few where I can and also receive advice (which has been a blessing...thanks).

My setup:

PC 2800+ AMD
Lynx One soundcard
Sonar Producer 4.3
Reason 3 (don't really use much)
Sonik Synth 2 (haven't used much but intent to shortly)
MPC 2000 (my baby...just love the ease of midi sequencing)
Motif ES (use primarily as a midi controller & sound module)
Roland VM3100 digital mixer
RNC Compressor
Focusrite Penta (use more of the pre-amp then the compressor)
Alesis Powered M1 monitors (looking at replacing but not sure what pair)

***As you see, I deal with more hardware equipment then software right now but eventually would like to involve both for the flexibility.

*** Is there anyone who uses the MPC for sequencing or any external sequencer????? I'm curious whether those successful with synching use MTC vs Midi Clock...and Analog vs Digital connections. I know there have been various threads on this topic but there seem to be only a few who have not had any synch issues. My method is to provide midi sequencing on the MPC 2000 using the Motif ES as a sound module. I would then like to synch the MPC -> Roland digital mixer -> Sonar 4.3 to mix down my tracks (whether it be midi or audio transfer).

*** I'm heading towards connecting the spdif digital out from the Roland VM3100 mixer to the Lynx card and digital out from the card to the Roland spdif digital input for monitoring. I believe this will provide a sturdy wordclock for synch stability/reliability. My midi connection will be as follows:

MPC --- midi A out to midi in of the Roland mixer then midi out of mixer to midi in of Lynx card
PC --- Lynx card midi out direct to midi A in of MPC
MPC --- midi B out to Motif ES and midi B in from Motif ES

The analog main outputs are going into the Roland mixer and converted to digital via the spdif out to the PC Lynx card digital in. The MPC 2000 would be the MTC or Midi Clock master and the Roland digital mixer and Sonar 4.3 would be the slaved!!!

Any support is appreciated!!!!

Thanks fellas.
