I've only been involved with acoustic/electric duos, but have a shit-load of tapes from those days. A lot of one hit wonders like Drift Away (Dobie Gray), lost 45's like No Matter What (BadFinger), and an array of 70's rock including Hotel California (with the entire lead - original version - at the end / not easy on one acoustic/electric guitar with distortion). I'll try to get some of them up on my website... ...I've been promising my old bandmate I would. I'll post the URL when I get them up and running. Tom.

OK I got burned by Streamload and Waldos Nowhere Radio (literally) no offense Waldo but shit I go through all the hoops to post my stuff with the links and then nobody can get to them... What an exercise in futility!!! Anyway here's my latest attempt at posting a MP3 for people to listen to at "no Charge" give this a try. Again the guitarist here is Dave Macias and the band is Cheap Day Return. I was the keyboardist of which what I did in this song was minimal at best. Like I said Waldo no offense. At least you are truly Free. I know from what you've been posting that you are sincere and trying your best. Where I feel burned is in all the time I put into signing up uploading and then posting the song with a link. Then noone can download the damn thing in Steamloads situation it is as i see it a stinking scam. They get you in there claiming FREE and then as soon as you have something like 10 mb of downloads they shut you off and try and sell you a monthly plan cause your getting too many downloads on the Freeloader" plan In your case it worked for a day or 2 then for whatever reasons nobody could get to it. I'm not complaining bout the price cause that can't be beat just the frustration and embarassment of posting a dead link. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor and I'll be the first to try again once I'm sure you've got it dialed in.

They can't handle the bandwidth with only DS3, T3 and DS1... (We were afterall hosted originally on OC-192) Plus, zero mention of per byte transfer rates, and we all know, that's where the money is. Everything else they have listed I already got (and most of it is free software).
They ONLY accept American credit cards (which I own none of), and ONLY accept a YEARs payment in advance. Be WARNED, DO NOT sign with ANY company that ONLY accepts ONE YEARS payment in advance. The company could disappear tomorrow and reap HUGE profits from your loss.
They also do not support any sort of streaming media, which is a major fall back... And no telnet access to the server for my own 'special' modifications (plus no local access to the hardware itself).
Anyways, such a service isn't useful, but thanks for the thought.
Oh yeah, I did just find their little tidbit about per byte transfer rates and high-bandwidth useage: "If you use that much data transfer, we truly recommend that you wait for our high bandwidth plans which we will release in the next two months. Until then, we recommend that you host your websites with companies whom have a high allowance of data transfer. Please note that companies offering "unlimited" transfer are very likely to shut down your website once they notice it transfers a high amount of data."

They ONLY accept American credit cards (which I own none of), and ONLY accept a YEARs payment in advance. Be WARNED, DO NOT sign with ANY company that ONLY accepts ONE YEARS payment in advance. The company could disappear tomorrow and reap HUGE profits from your loss.
They also do not support any sort of streaming media, which is a major fall back... And no telnet access to the server for my own 'special' modifications (plus no local access to the hardware itself).
Anyways, such a service isn't useful, but thanks for the thought.
Oh yeah, I did just find their little tidbit about per byte transfer rates and high-bandwidth useage: "If you use that much data transfer, we truly recommend that you wait for our high bandwidth plans which we will release in the next two months. Until then, we recommend that you host your websites with companies whom have a high allowance of data transfer. Please note that companies offering "unlimited" transfer are very likely to shut down your website once they notice it transfers a high amount of data."
