Pretty much got it narrowed down, but wanted another opinion or two before proceeding.
I have a Abit KT7 MB, AMD 1.2Ghz, 512 MB RAM, TNT2, Antex SC2000 StudioCard, Adaptec SCSI controller, Netgear 311 ethernet, CDR, & two 10K RPM Cheetah 9.1GB SCSI drives.
Thought my PSU was a 350W, turns out to be a 300W.
Out of nowhere, I am suddenly experiencing lower amplitude on recorded tracks when running all four input channels (ie drums), but not when recording an input at a time.
Appears to me like the PSU's current limiting is kicking in. I just recently added the second HDD. It was recording fine earlier Sunday while just recording single tracks like bass, but would not record the drums worth a hoot that evening.
Opinions?
