I have a 414.
I ran a line out of my amp to an adapter into the "Sub In" on the back. I heard sound.
Is this a good thing to do? It will allow me to have only eq from my amp (the tascams sucks). What about noise?
When I get a mic pre would this be a good thing to do to bypass the mixer?
Also, I recorded a vocal running a mic to my guitar amp out to a track. This gave me better eqing and better gain control but I also noticed noise on the track when I wasn't singing. How can I avoid this?
Last thing...
Does anyone have a map of the 414 board to use as a template to keep track of settings during a mixdown? My manuel didn't have one but I thought the MKII might.
Last thing Part II
My transport is loud. Very loud. I think the condensor is picking it up. Any tips on this?
thanks.
