hi all, new the forum,just got the porta02 4 track, i would like to know how it can be played on a stereo recorder as only 2 tracks are heard or how i could get the 4 tracks on to a cd, i would be grateful for any information on this

You can't playback all 4 tracks simultaneously on a stereo playback machine so you have to record the 4 tracks mixed-down to two tracks from the outputs of the Porta2 to some other device (e.g., a stereo cassette recorder or a computer hard drive). If you want to put your song on a CD you would mixdown to a 16bit stereo .wav file on your computer hard drive using any one of a multitude of recording software packages (Sonar, Reaper, Audacity to name a few) and then burn the resulting stereo file/s to a CD.
