Pop tune?!?

Just mixed this one. Always find it challenging to mix something I did not record. Not knowing how it was recorded, where or mic selection always provides the need for greater mixing strategy/mixing technique's. Also, having to accept what you have to work with.

I think there's too much reverb or something on the snare drum... it's got sort of a distorted trail on it or something. Other than that sounds pretty good.

Nice song. I also noticed the snare thing (before I read skineejoe's comment). it's not major, but I did notice it. Like the lead guitar tone, it reminds me of the lead guitar on The Song Remains The Same.

I really dug the rhythm presented! The lyrics are a bit generic and slightly corny. Great instrumental work! Decent vocals. I wouldn't call it pop... contemporary easy listening. You have chops for sure.

Everything sounds like it was recorded well.

Mix sounds great. Very modern and crisp. The snare is weird though. I also can't hear the kick very well.

Snare sounds like it has maybe a flange on it or something? could be bleed? Other than that sounds like a decent mix

Good quality. Don't like the snare sound though, feels like it needs more of a snap to it.
