Well, if you are using a handheld mic then you should get one of the foam ones. They are called windscreens because their main purpose is to prevent wind noise in outdoor settings, but because plosives are essentially wind noise they will act to reduce plosives too. Not as well as the hoop kind, but suitable for a handheld mic.

Hardly seems worthwhile to make one at this price. Of course the shipping adds to it, unless you buy another $283.05 worth of stuff.
