Hello
Just wondering if I need to use a pop filter or windscreen on a condenser mic when I am recording sources other than vocals, such as acoustic guitar, distorted guitar amp, banjo, harmonica etc.?

Thanx :D

Shouldn't need to. The point of the pop filter is to reduce plosive noises (such as the "p's" and "b's" when recording vocals). It does this by diverting the air energy that is created when you speak or sing a plosive consonant.

Your guitar, amp, or harmonica won't create this type of air energy, thus negating the need for the filter.
