Waldo it's all set! Stream at will!!!

Slack man, what's the wasp? I agree with your ROOM comment, it was definitely mixed too low. I'm hoping I can solve the demo feel through

1)running it through WAVES a special someone will be hooking me up with:D
2) Running it through the mastering software ANOTHER special someone will be hooking me up with!

Does the "demo feel" that you speak of pertain to someting that these things could remedy, or does it run deeper? I definitely don't want a DEMO FEEL here if at all possible because we plan to include this song on a CD we intend to release, like for sale, promo, etc...

Definately normalize this sucker, it's really low :)

The bass synth stuff has a little bit much 'rattle', at first I thought I bust a coil, and was getting tons of slap back... Then the frequency varried and I figured it out. Maybe smooth out the wave-form a bit, saw-tooth makes it sound clipped. This might lower the volume a bit, if so, keep it there, otherwise, knock it down a notch. The mp3 encode of course can affect this, but if you smooth out the saw-tooth, it'll encode better as well.

Second voice on the last acoustic bit could use a little lower eq'n.

Drums sound good. Other than I can't hear hi-hat over the bass effect. I think that might be fixed if you smooth out the wave-form.

Lead guitar sounds like it's pretty far back in the mix. I'd bring it forward a bit more. It's a little wacky on the tune, just a bit off...

Lead vocal volumes are just fine.

Definately needs a little panning here and there, comes across rather mono.

Other than that, cool tune ;)

Keep in mind somebody may have already addressed all this crap, I haven't read everybody elses impressions in order not to be biased (and rarely ever do until after).

Sorry, I dont check the clinic daily... a high shelf, lets see... umm, its similar to a low or high pass filter, only instead of removing low end like a high pass filter would, it will allow you to pick a certain freq range and boost(or cut) it from that range and on up on everything above the selected freq. Therefore adding more "air" or "sparkle" to your upper end, giving it more of a "professional" sound if you dont overdo it. Start at about 3khz and 2-4 db boost, and sweep up til you find an area that makes it sound more "big" without making it sound unnatural. You may not be able to. Some songs are practically made for it, others are not. Depends on what kind of uglies might be hanging out up there hiding with the pretties. Boosting those uglies can be a bad thing. ON the other hand, boosting those pretties can be a great thing. Depends. Just try it.
The one other thing I think is that you should go hard on the guitars panning, and bring the drums and stuff about 35/35, with snare and kick centered. When listening to a home stereo from a good distance away with widely spaced speakers, it might sound unnatural because a drum kit would not take up an entire wall, and it sounds more natural to be coming from a tighter location.
Make sense? If you listen to my posting closely you'll notice that I panned the toms too much, and on a stereo system, just like I said, the drums take up too much space. High tom on left side of room, low tom on right side of room. Thats a damn big drum kit, taking up a whole room. Maybe good for effect, but not all the time.
Center the bass too. That leaves you with room between 90 and 35 on both side to put in your filler instruments. Dont overdo the fillers, leave some space, amke them special when they happen. Try some different verbs, like a large room on the enitre kit except kick, and then maybe a very slight amount of hall ALONG with the room on the snare. Experiment. I'm just blabbing to have something to do.
Peace.

nice tune. needs more stereo spread, and ditch the fuzz on the lead gtr and just overdrive an amp instead. I like the wha guitar. you dont hear that much anymore. there is a nice *clearness* to the recording....must be an ambient reverb setting....interesting ending...but the fade cuts off rather than a total fade. I agree the synth bass...or whatever (sounds like an old analog sawtooth wavform) is a tad too buzzy. in sumation...more drive on the leads...gtrs panned(?), less bass buzz...=great effort... oh...I'd fade the intro in a little better too...from complete silence.

This song is getting taken down I think. I've been doing some more tweaking, and a lot of PANNING and WOW! You should hear the dif! I also just got waves but haven't figgered it out yet so that may also halp it out. I have taken all of your responses into consideration, and really given this an overhaul.

Waldo thanks a lot man! I'm glad you had a chance to squeeze my bytes into your schedule!!! Notes taken!

Tubedude: As always some great advice the tubester. I'll need to play with that shelf thing. Top shelf: where the peanut butter goes!

MIxmkr: Thanks for the download and words! There is no waa(?) guitar so I'm not sure what you were referring to. Your tips are good!

To everyone else: Sometime down the road when I'll post the final outcome. We're currently recording a bunch of songs so we'll see what turns up!!!
