Awhile ago I bought a podxt pro. I have to say all in all i like it. but one thing is that If I just want to flip it on and jam its always hard to find the "perfect sound" right off the bat because there are SOO many choices and combinations. Sometimes i stick to the same 2 amps and cabs and then i feel like I'm wasting the product. Anyone have the similar feeling? what do you do to change it up?

also how do you chain pedals together? like if you want a pi and screamer distoration, or whatever... without using the computer software that goes with it.

any other comments or thoughts or tips on the pod xt pro welcome.

I love the POD XT Live. You just have to find your amp and cab models that you dig the best and stick wth them on all your settings for consistency. I dial up a JCM800, Line 6 4x12, with a TS808 and I'm set. That's the deal. You don't even need the stupid gate. That will suck your tone right out the door. Just ease back on both the gain settings. I like the Roland Jazz Chourus model for clean Andy Summers style stuff. I usually scrap the factory presets first thing, then let MY ears do the dial-in. When you like it, save it. If you use the chourus/flanger type effects, run two channels to your board, panned hard left/hard right, for a bitchin stereo sound. Most of the "effects" have ridiculous stock settings. I avoid the toy, lazer gun crap, but it does have some baddass choruses to jack with. A great direct recording tool. :D
