I REALLY am struggling to find a decent mic here, Everyones looking for a mic for recording 1 person or music, i am trying to find a mic that can:
-sit in front people with a good 3ft beween us and the mic
-Fit a soundboard, not USB! needs to have xlr (not mini) or a 3.5mm jack
-Under £100 ($150)

I have looked at this lapel mic, and obviously getting 2 Audio-Technica ATR-35S Lavalier Microphone

please help:(

Behringer C2 ? One mic each. Or did you want something that only uses one channel on the board?

Ribbon with figure of 8 pattern. Some other OMNI mic placed low, aimed at ceiling.

I've got a giant squid stereo mic with 5' of cable to each mic (10' between the two). Could be used as a dual lapel setup, but you'd be tethered and it terminates in a 1/8" / 3.5mm stereo jack.

Or just use one mic and both of you podcast like drunken buddies leaning on each other.

I was hoping to have an omnidirectional mic, This is due to the fact that we dont have hands to hold mics (gaming) and i didnt want to spend alot on 2 mics, i would rather it sit on my desk infront of us both while we play, so no wires are getting in the way

sitting on a pillow? Or do you need a stand too? Don't forget the cable to connect things. It adds up quick and $100 isn't much.

Mic stand $20
Boom arm $30
Cable $40
Mic $10?

I've got little desktop mic stands which I find quite useful. You might look at a boundary mic, just place it on the table in front of you. Be careful not to bump and kick the table as it will get picked up by that type of mic. Are you podcasting live? Or prerecording? Because cheap mics tend to have a lot of noise, which you can filter with software. But it might be hard to do that LIVE.

Live recording (and i said £100 which is $150 btw :p ) and we are both infront of my desk on chairs, quiet close but not hugging lol

While the snowball and yeti are great examples of what im looking for, its USB and thats no help with my soundboard:(

blueball was the XLR version. Or something like that, must be discontinued or something. Can't locate it on bluemic.com

One good $150. condenser microphone your choice, then a boom + boom operator
