No doubt. I can't wait to demo one. The sound clips sound good.

I still bet it can't replace my Mesa/Boogies or even my SansAmps.

Oh man! This thing really sounds good.
It has a usb port for direct digital recording to your computer, but I have to wonder if that might cause any conflicts with my software.
I 'm also wondering how good the classic pedal emulations are.

I'm curious to find out how this thing stacks up against the Roland GT-6. Both are going for around $400.00. I would mainly just use it for recording DI. I'm not into distortion too much, I mainly use a lot of reverb, sustain, and delay, nor am I much into the electronics of guitar playing, typically with other units I've only used 3 or 4 sounds, but I need something to spice up my leads a little. I listened to the sounds on the Pod XT website and I wasn't too impressed, but they are having an in house demo in the next two weeks so I will probably check that out. Has anyone compared these units directly?

I have one. I'm working on a review that I'll post on this forum. I'll include links to a bunch of my own sound samples with my review... Frankly, my review would be happening a lot faster, but the darn thing is so useful that I'm "wasting" a lot of time writing and recording music with it.

I got one a couple of weeks ago. So far I have only tried it connected up to my Trace Elliot Super Tramp Twin, but it sounds incredibly good, much better than the pod 2.3 I used to have. The amp models are very good, and for a change, some of the presets are actually useful! I have also used it just as an effects unit, bypassing the amp modelling, and it sounds spot on. Overall I am very impressed with it, it is so much more useful and tweakable than the previous pod. I'm looking forward to being able to record using the USB port, should be fun!!

Cheers

Jon

Question:Can you send midi messages via the usb connection or do you need to have the midi cables hooked up too?
