POD tuner

I have had my "BODYSNATCHED" for the last two weeks now ever since I bought my shiny little POD. No complaints at all except one minor thing....that being that good dial space is being taken up by too many FLANGE settings.....flange 1 and 2 and flange/delay 1 and 2......The flange just seems like such a speacialized effect that we could have done with only one flange and one flange/delay settting. I understand having the various chorus settings as chorus just seems more useful than FLANGE. Just my opinion, I hope I am not offending any "Flange-a-holics".....nothing sounds better than drums with some flange.
Quick Question....when I put the POD on "TUNER" and have my acoustic mic'd(no pickup) and have the POD set to Bypass and tube preamp.....I can't get any logical readings on the display for tuning.......I get every note on the alphabet and inbetween, I get the flatline readout but I can't get an acceptable readout on the strings for tuning. This feature is absolutely essential for me as I do lots of open and alternate tunings.
I have no problems with my Les Paul though.
Has all the flange flanged out my brain, or what am I doing wrong?
P.S. this is the first time I have ever used the word "SNATCH" in an e mail without having to worry about getting fired or something!

The pod tuner is a bit to insensitive/inaccurate for me. I guess what i'm saying is, use a good tuner instead. There is too much of a grey area between + and -.

Put a good tuner in-line with the input of the pod.
 
Get one of those Sabine AX-2000, you know the ones that stick on your guitar with thousands of mini suction cups. They are so cool, and very accurate. WIllie Nelson uses em, and so do I. They are great for changing tuning in the middle of a show, I do it all the time. They work for acoustic or electric guitars too.

I concur about the reliability of the POD tuner. I have about 6 (most built into other pieces of gear) and only two are reliable where I'd trust them. Get a Korg, Boss or some other chromatic tuner
 
POD 1.0 tuning is sharp

i consider this a deeply important piece of info:

the Line6 POD 1.0 tuning reference is sharp!

not only is it a pain in the butt to use (flickering and so on), but the reference is more sharp than 440.

i've checked this against 4 references.

the Logic Pro Tuner plug-in as of April 4th, 2009 is solid 440 reporting.

I own a 2.0 and I am pretty sure there is setting where you can adjust the tuner in cents. Perhaps your factory defaults have been changed? I have a Korg rack mount strobe tuner that I always use so I can't really vouch one way or the other for the Pod.
 
Meh the Pod Tuners are about worthless IMO just about as good as the one on this Bass V-Amp Pro tuner.
I use one of the aux outs on the Behringer and plug a tuner into it which I can use the tuner selector on the VAmp and will still be able to tune silent.
Not sure what the pod has in the way of aux outs though.
