Hey has anyone tryed using the tube pre of the POD for things other than guitar. I ran it through my effects loop on a an AT4033, but really had no time to mess with it. Seemed a little harsh to me, but I really need time to tinker with it.
I think using a digital device to get the effects of an analog device would be like going to Disneyland and pretending you were in the real world. I have a POD but I haven't tried that yet. And now that I have an ART dual mp, I probably won't. Sorry CJ.
while were still on the art tube mp....will i notice a change if i use one? i use a akg c1000 mostly...would it be worth picking one up...or not really?
I hear that there is significant improvment.
The siganal will be much warmer. (like Solid state amp vs Tube)
The dual MP is on my list of things to buy.
I ran my POD through my stereo tube pre but I liked the sound of the direct output of the POD better.
As to running anything through the POD as a preamp- well it doesn't rate.
It's a substantial improvement over the pres in typical consumer tapedecks that you can press into service as a mic pre by using the record circuit and holding it on pause.
