This is a kind of desert island question. Pretty soon I am going to get a proccessor, but can only afford one or the other. If you could only have one proccessor, what would it be?

I hope to start a heated debate here.

if I'm not mistaken, dont these boxes you mentioned serve different purposes?

I guesse what I'm trying to ask, is the lexicon do some of the same things that the pod does, and visa virsa?

If you could only have one or the other which one?

Well, if I were a guitar player, I would pick the POD if I was just an engineer I would get the Lexicon. The POD is wonderful for guitar effects, but that is about it. The lexicon can be used for vocals, drums, and just about everything else. I would probably get a POD and then try to find a used multieffects processor, like an origianl Quadraverb or something. They go used for about 100$. Get a used POD for arone 220 or less, and boom, best of both worlds. But, there are tons of great processors out there. You really should decide the application for it, then ask for debate.

So the lexicon is not so good as a guitar proccessor. Come to think of it, when you guys listen to my mp3s, without knowing that I have no proccessing at all. You complain about bland guitar sound, and not that there's not enough reverb in the mix.

Seems like the pod has it.

just so's I can stick in my 2 cents worth I would agree with mastahnke.

The pod is sent from god(well not realy)..........

get the pod and then get a used processor and if you're just crazy(like me :D)use em together for some wild tonez but maybee you're not crazy.
