POD--is it worth it to buy the floorboard?

I am about to buy the POD for direct recording. However, I hear a lot of people say that live you might as well run it into the mixer since the sound is so great. Since I do play live frequently and would like to get those same sounds, a floorboard would be nice for convenient use. I know Line 6 has a floorboard that is compatiblle with the POD. My question is, how many parameters can be changed on the POD just through the floorboard?

Hey Joel,

Check out the Line 6 web site at www.line6.com
the page has a library section where you can download owner's manuels so you can figure it all out. Line 6 also makes some great amps that go beyond the POD.

Peace, Jim

I've been to the site. I've read all the reviews. Now I'm just looking for some real world experience that people have had with the floorboard. The site, in this respect, does not go into much detail except to say it controls the wahwah function. That board has a lot of buttons and two expression pedals. Is that all it controls?!
