pod and mixer fighting

I have a POD connected to a Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro so that any channel can be sent to the POD and returned to the main mix.
Anyone having feedback problems with this setup?

If the POD is designed to take ONLY a guitar level signal and you are sending a +4 signal to it from the mixer you are probably overloading the input, does it have a seperate guitar input and line level input?
