Coming into this thread rather late, I haven't (yet) purchased a product from PMI, however I found Alan to be very helpful when I sent him a query regarding a function on a Joemeek unit I was curious about. Given he's the manager of the company, and he answered the question himself, I'd say that's a pretty bloody big tick for PMI.

The gear also seems to be very sound [no pun intended] for the price.

No negative feedback from this little black duck!

Thank you Dags...not to toot my own horn, but I am the owner of the company, not the manager. I do not post much anymore on HR because of threads and guys who start these kinds of things, as they have nothing to offer. I still do search out for people with problems and issues to help them out, but those are rare.

Anyway, thanks to all the guys for the plugs...Very nice of you.... :D

PMI gets an A+ in my book for customer service. They have gone above and beyond "satisfactory" customer service for me! (However, UPS gets a D+, but that's another story...)

I'll give their products an "A", only because some of them are lacking features that I would like to see (i.e. a pad and lowpass on the T3), and others are taking a looooong time to be released (VTB-2) ...not that it's their fault that the products haven't made it out the door yet, but it bites when you see online vendors selling them saying that they are temporarily out of stock and will be in stock soon, even when they haven't been released yet.

IMHO, for the money they cannot be beat. Many of their products outperform products costing much more ...but that's only my opinion. ;)

I have nothing against PMI. To you Einsteins that assumed I did... and gave me negative rep for this thread... I'll consider whether to do the same for you. It would certainly make a dent in your badge collection...
Sorry, guy - you have a rep power of zero, so you can't give anyone rep, neg or pos. Unless you use one of your other personae.

Alan has been a real help to people here - that's a fact, not opinion. Do a search of his posts. Most of the dislike was generated by 3 posters, and likely was due to jealousie.

Just to add my own $.02 here, I have dealt with PMI twice (bought a B1 ealrier this year and another time, two JM27s a couple of weeks ago). I spoke to Justin. He was friendly and helpful, and I got my order right on time. I have no problem recommending PMI, based on my own personal experience with them.

NONFAT-Are we talking PMI or their mics?

I think Alan does a fine job with PMI as a company. I've only heard positive reports about his customer service. For someone to give good customer service for an inexpensive mic indicates they are a good company.

Now if you want to talk about specific mics or products then that's a different conversation...

I sent a private message to a few of you guys... here it is for the rest of you...

Heya, this is nonfat… all is cool. I started the PMI thread in a half baked attempt to figure out who’s been leaving anonymous neg rep points for anyone who mentions Studio Project mics. I’ve dealt with both Alan and Justin and have nothing but good to say about PMI and their products. Tremendous value and their customer service is second to none.
Chances are slim but I am hoping to get some response from the troll. Last time he dinged me it pissed me off for some reason and now I have a wild hair up my ass to figure out who he is.

My answers to you guys were purposely cantankerous hoping the sniping troll would jump in and help me out. But in the long run I don't really care what that masturbating little monkey says or does. I'm done wasting brainwaves on him.
At the very least this thread turned into a positive thing for PMI and I'm glad it did. I do use their products and have talked to both Alan and Justin on the phone. They deserve praise for treating the lowly home recorder like a million dollar professional. Hats off to them and to all of you for sharing your positive experiences.
And have a great holiday!!!

I used to think PMI were a bunch of Ass Hats, basically because they would plague every single internet message board with their shameless product promotion. Lately, they haven't done that, so I don't think "asshat" is a very good descriptor. They may have moved on to bigger and better things, which is good. I'm okay with PMI these days.

Look for someone with a rep power of 22 - that's the number of points I lost for my post here.

yup....me too...and the poor lil **** is scared Id come through the monitor and get him I guess cuz he didnt sign it...dont worry lil man....i cant gitcha.

If the anonymous individual is from "way back when" in the AH/PMI history (which I hope is not the case), then I'd have to consider C7sus, Chessrock, Ammeth (sp) who were the most outspoken members, more recently DJL took over the role, in which he absolutely excelled.

Unfortunately, considering the unstable nature of a couple of those individuals, there's nothing stopping them re-registering under a different username to continue their infantile little games.

Just be glad you weren't nailed by someone like noisedude, which I think would have cost 194 rep points

the anonymous negative rep distributor is a limp-wristed, impotent, retarded, monkey masturbater who gives hand jobs to pygmies, and he's in love with his mother...

we all know this, and so does he...

Or maybe it's like some double agent, pretending to be a PMI lackey.

Could even be you, Ausrock.

I suppose if rep points actually mattered, then it might be worth pursuing. :D Unless it makes you feel cool or something. In which case, have at it. Find the bastard who took your rep point away. Make him/her pay.

You weren't ever anti-PMI, you were just a full-time flip-flopper chasing a high post count. :D

wait, ive got 9417 posts in 6 years and you have 5866 in 2 years.......can you do math on that side of the pond?......

The rep power/points thing is meaningless, though it can be entertaining at times.(Like now)

I was trying to give nonfat a clue for tracking down this dastardly red dot devil.

Go back to 2002 and read Gidge's posts. In fact, he was the instigator of the Studio Projects Spam Wars. :D

kinda odd that ThePhantom's first post on HR.com is in this thread talkin about neg rep...maybe that is the alias of the person giving the neg rep....

lets see...today is his join date as well....kinda fishy if you ask me....

i need to see some links to threads showing me flip flopping.......
