Yeah I been drinkin, SO!?
Hello, I switched over from protools after Digidesign bricked my hardware.

I've been using Reaper to work on mixes a little when I'm away from home. I'm on my first day recording with it, and so far it's great. Very intuitive.

I had a problem using antares autotune vst (go ahead, make fun) with it. What's the typical routine for installing plugs to use with reaper? Are there certain kinds that work better than others as far as compatibility goes?

Is there another autotune I should use instead ("Yeah, NO AUTOTUNE! HAW!")

Oops, wrote that wrong, it's tdm. Does that rule it out?
 
Yeah, TDM (and RTAS) are proprietary plugin formats for DigiDesign Pro Tools. Antares does, however, make a VST version of AutoTune which most likely came with it when you purchased it.

As for alternatives, GSnap is a great free pitch-corrector. REAPER also comes with the ReaTune pitch corrector and ReaPitch pitch adjuster. (I often use ReaPitch with automation to manually correct vocals. GSnap is really a great plugin too.)
