Does anyone know of a good plug-in for wah-wah sound? Or does anyone know how to possibly manipulate the plugs that came with Sonar to create that sound? I have been experimenting with the Flanger and Chorus in Sonar, but I can't get it to do what I want... I might be way off, though

Thanks,

Vice

I remember seeing a web page that tells you how to get a Wa-Wa sound using EQ. That's all Wa-Wa is. Sweeping the EQ within certain frequencies. Probably within the Mid-range.

I haven't been using Sonar long enough to know if you can link the settings for the EQ plugin. It would sure make automating a Wa-Wa sound easier. Try a wide Q setting on a single band first. That might be all you need.

What for...? Guitar tracks ? hehe... I found Revalver - DXi Plug Ins from Alien Connections helps alot. Didn't dig that deep, but the preset is worth to try...

Yeah, it's for guitar tracks mainly... I will check out that revalver soon. BTW what freq am I looking to sweep? Any suggestions? Thanks for the help

is anyone getting a really good autowah sound from a plug-in? I've got Sonitus' Ultrafunk plug-in suite and it has an autowah fx, but I haven't tried it. I'll give it a go tomorrow and tell you how it sounds.

i recently purchased a Morley Bad Horsie II wah and it is rediculously awesome. when you take your foot off the wah pedal it stops doing the wah-thing and just plays regular.

hey vicevursa, i got it from Hot Licks down in Waldorf, MD.

I've messed with the Ultrafunk Wah plug, and like all their products it is pretty good. It can be set up as a trigger wah or actually manipulated with a mouse like a regular wah.

But why????

Record a cry baby in the first place. :)

the originator of the thread was referring to guitar...

but i'm going to try to use the ultrafunk autowah with an organ sound.

I have a need to use the wah sound on a guitar track I recorded already. It's not a real guitar, it's my keyboard's guitar sound. But I was interested on using the effect on other keyboard sounds. I have been looking possibly getting a pedal. I just like the plug-in idea... I'm experimenting with that revalver tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

P.S. Hey Cross - what part of DC are you in? I'm down in woodbridge/dale city area of va...

That's not too far, Cross... For those that are intrested, I posted a song using revalver. I didn't get the exact results I sought, but I think it turned out ok... here's the thread .
