Can anyone recommend a great sounding reverb (that doesn't sound cheap) for Sonar 6 on a PC? I don't care how much it costs. I'm so sick of crappy reverbs. Thanks in advance!
The UAD-1 drivers are HORRIBLE, thats something to consider if you want to make good use of multi-cpu's. DAW makers have been trying to deal with this since the UAD-1 came out, and Justin Frankel told them exactly what they needed to do (again) the other day at the NAMM show, but I wouldn't hold my breath
If you are using cubase or nuendo, or only have a single CPU I wouldn't worry about it too much, but otherwise...
Here are some free convolution reverbs

here are impulses from every reverb device you can think of (which will allow you to try them, even some plugins, before committing). Some people dont like convo as much because there isnt total control as in some reverb plugs but its something you should definitely give a try to.
UAD-1 works fine with Steinberg software, as you noted, so why would it be a software issue? Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if UA gave short shrift to Reaper, since they might calculate that users of shareware don't want to shell out $2K for plugs (no, a UAD-1 doesn't cost that much, but in time, they will get you!). They could be wrong, but at the same time piracy is so bad for other plugs I could understand the attitude.
