Plug-ins are killing my comp...

is the waves "audiotrack" cumbersome as well? that kinda sucks especially since it kinda says it is designed to go on a track insert.

though some may disagree, I prefer to use my tracking software's parametric/paragraphic track EQ's instead of using 3rd party inserts. I did it with Sonar, and I do it with Nuendo. It just seems like it's more efficient when it's integrated into the recording package. While I have no factual evidence to back that statement up, it sure "feels" like it's the case (if that makes any sense...) I haven't ever needed anything more than a 4 band paragraphic for track EQ-ing anyway.

The Waves plugins are great but they murder your CPU no matter how powerful. Bare in mind that although they have 'native' products, in reality virtually all their plugins were originally intended to run on hardware-backed systems. I wouldn't use the Waves EQs in a sequencer - I thinnk those are really intended for sound-sculpting use in progs like Wavelab where the end result will be saved as a file.

Personally, I am thinking about buying a TC Powercore.
